Setting Up the Perfect Guest Bedroom in 4 Steps

Setting Up the Perfect Guest Bedroom in 4 Steps

November 28, 2022

Friends and family travel far to visit you, so setting up a guest bedroom shows them that you care by offering a warm, welcoming place to rest. Make your guests feel like they are staying at a home away from home while they are visiting you with these four easy tips.

Wi-Fi Password Board

Don’t keep your guests waiting for the Wi-Fi password! If they have not previously connected to your internet on a device, then they will need the login information. Your guests may find themselves awake at night wanting to connect their laptop to the Wi-Fi, but you’ve gone to sleep. So, save everyone the headache and just add a Wi-Fi password board to your guest bedroom. It can be a chalkboard, lighted peg board, or a dry-erase board.

Welcome Basket

One of the simplest and best ways to set up the perfect guest bedroom is by curating a welcome basket. Nothing feels better than being greeted by a basket of goodies you didn’t expect. Include the essentials, such as:

  • lotion
  • body wash
  • makeup wipes
  • hand sanitizer
  • tissue box
  • shampoo and conditioner
  • toothbrush and toothpaste

Go the extra mile and find out what your guests like and leave personalized items in the basket too, such as their favorite snacks or bottled drinks.

Fresh Sheets

Don’t forget the bedding! Fresh sheets are a must for the guest room. Provide at least four pillows and at least one extra set of clean sheets. You can store the extra bedding set in the guest room closet and let your guests know where the sheets are in case they need them in the middle of the night.

Extra Towels

If your guest bedroom comes with its own guest bathroom, include extra towels in the laundry closet. This includes bath towels, bath hand towels, and bathing cloths. It might be nice to include a laundry hamper for dirty towels, too.

Conclusion

Setting up the perfect guest bedroom just takes a bit of thought and intention. Create a space that you would want to stay in to help guide your process. Think of the extra comforts that you would appreciate, and we bet your guests would appreciate them too.
